Hai gaise! As I promised, I’m finally back with my new fanaccount which covers my three perfect days /
cues Before You Exit’s song 😂/ of meeting The Tide (plus the #TeamAirport experience as well)
[OT: by the way please like this fangirling blog’s Facebook page for more interactions and spazzing sessions with me. thank you so much! ^_^]

It’s been a week since my sons aka the American pop-rock band The Tide came back here in PH (2nd time after #3LOGYINMANILA last year) for the promotional mall tour in selected Ayala Malls (Glorietta, Trinoma, Market! Market! and Alabang Town Center), but kyaaaaah I still felt like I was only dreaming /
cues The Vamps’ All Night 😂/ cos I honestly couldn’t believe that although I saw them for the second time, I met them personally for the very first time. My eyes were crying out loud (not literally tho 😂) cos of too much feels.
I’ve became a fan of them and their music since last year right after #3LOGYINMANILA, but mainly during Young Love era, and when MMI Live, a concert promoter here in the Philippines, announced (a week after Before You Exit’s concert) that The Tide would be back here for their promotional mall tour, I was honestly freaking out in hyperventilation cos I was still in post concert depression mode due to BYE’s concert, and yet MMI announced that they’d be back. I was like, ‘kulang na lang, isunod ang The Vamps para #3LOGYINMANILA 2.0 uli. yung totoo MMI?‘ (
note: The Vamps confirmed that they would be back in Asia either on September or October, so I’m crossing my fingers for this! so prolly #3LOGYINMANILA 2.0 would come true, but in separate shows.)
Alright~ let’s fast forward to the time they arrived here in Manila.
March 28, 2017:
I arrived in NAIA Terminal 2 in 6pm, knowing and hoping that their plane would land there, but I literally had no idea that they would land in Terminal 1 until a tweet from a PH update account was being retweeted by my Twitter friend, and I rushed my way there to Terminal 1. After I arrived in 5 minutes, I even asked the guards where was the exact location of the picture taken by that update account, and one of the guards told me that it was on the upper side of Terminal 1; in short, it was the exact location where fans could wait there. Although I felt tired, I ran towards the upper side, and here they were! Luckily, there were only few Tiders waiting for the boys, and by 7pm onwards, we were started panicking as they already landed here, but in 15-20 minutes, they finally went outside the airport, and to our surprise, they went inside the van instead (cos in their previous livestream, the smol bean aka drummer Nate Parker stated that they would be definitely go to our side for a lil chat and a selca), which we felt a bit disappointed, but that’s okay cos it’s for their safety, and there was always another day to meet them.
This was just a beginning, and the real deal would be the next.
Day 1 – March 29, 2017:
I arrived in the hotel in 2.45pm, hoping that my stalk buddy-slash-Twitter friend would be there. Thanks to my other Twitter friend for the information (I even asked for this lol 😂), but he got the clue mainly from the cool, yet derpy lead guitarist Drew Dirksen’s Instagram Story. To be very honest, this was my first time stalking an artist to the hotel, especially when it comes to my bias bands, including them. While waiting for my friend’s reply to my DMs, I went to Starbucks beside the hotel, and brought my laptop and some documents outside my bag right after to continue doing my thesis. I even stayed there for three hours, but still got no reply from him, and continued with what I was doing. 5.15pm came, and I finally got his reply, saying that he was already inside the hotel with his friends. I started to pack my things and left the place to go there. I even asked the guard if it’s okay to go inside cos I wanna see my friend, and he agreed. As I got inside, my friend, together with his other friends, told me that I shouldn’t ask the guards because they might figure out that I was stalking the boys there and instead, I should go ahead directly there next time. (I’m really sorry tho T.T It was my first time stalking tho like ever )): XD) While my friends were done eating, I started to order a dessert (I forgot what was this called, but I know this was something like caramelized tho).
While waiting, we were worried that they might go directly to the basement instead in the hotel lobby if they arrived, and it was already 7pm during the time we had some theories regarding that, but tables had turned when the boys, along with their tour manager Davey, arrived in the hotel lobby six minutes past 8pm. The cutiepie bassist-slash-maknae (youngest member) Levi Jones (my main bias/son) promised us that they’d be back for phone calls and some stuffs (he was really cute and talkative when we got a chance to have a lil chat with him before telling us that they’d be back). Nate, on the other hand, seemed to look tired when we saw him (my bias wrecker-slash-one of the sweetest human beings I ever met aka the lead vocalist Austin Corini was the first to go out of their van, then followed by Drew, Levi and Nate). Hoping that Levi would keep his promise, we’re willing to wait for them.
Some of the fans started to go home as time passed, especially it was already in the middle of the night like 9pm or 10pm cos they were travelling far from their places just to see the boys upclose, so four of us were remained til 11pm came, and we were about to go home and leave the hotel when suddenly the elevator was opened in the lobby just to found out that Levi and Austin together with Davey went out from there, and we literally freaked out cos Levi kept their promise although it took long enough tho (at least we finally got a chance to talk with them even for just a bit, especially Austin). I first approached Levi for selca with two takes and a hug, then I chat with him to say thank you to him. Same goes with Austin, but the convo with him was a bit longer cos I asked him where was Nate and Drew, which he told me that they were already sleeping, and I also asked him if the had any schedules for the next day. I told him that I’d be seeing them on their first show in Glorietta. After that, they bid goodbye to us as the three went outside to roam around, and we said thank yous as our reply. Finally, our waiting has paid off, and I came back home literally in midnight with a wide smile and giddyness in my face cos I finally had a moment with my bias and my wrecker (although they’re literally my sons) ;A; 😭😭😭
Day 2 – March 30, 2017:
I came back there to the hotel in 7.45am (the 8-hour gap tho 😂😂) , but I followed what my friend told me, and luckily, as I went ahead to the entrance and got inside, no one saw me. 😂😂 I searched for some familiar faces from the previous day til I saw those two girls who were with me last night, sitting on the corner, so I joined them. Hours past, and some fans started to get inside the lobby, and gathered together there (some were still on the other side tho).
Almost two hours past (like 9am something), and the boys (sans Austin) went down in the lobby to eat their breakfast in the dining area, but they were being separate tho. Drew went down first, then Nate and Levi. As expected, we literally freaked out, but Nate told us that they’d be back to take selcas and chat with us right after they eat. And 10 minutes before 10am came, they’re already done with their breakfast, and they greeted us in the lobby. The selca, video message and chatting session has already began. I started with Nate, which I approached him first for a selca, and he agreed, as well as a hug. Next was Drew (we were playfully calling him Droo), which I did the same with Nate, but with his signature expression and pose (I found that really cute tho 😂). Lastly, it was my turn to Levi (once again), but I decided to chat with him instead if he remembered me from the previous night, and he smiled while he told me that he even remembered me, and I was like internally screaming. H E O L ;A; An idea suddenly came to my mind, and I went back to Nate to do a favour with him that I’d be doing a video message of him for my friend, who unfortunately wasn’t able to go to their shows due to other important plans, and he agreed, which I replied with my sincere thank yous after. I was about to approach Levi to do the video message as well to my other friend when one of the bouncers told us that it’s already enough, and the other bouncer pushed me a bit away from them as the boys were in a hurry for some radio shows and they were going inside the van.
As they were already waiting for Austin while in the van, the three boys (they’re actually my OT3), went down there to take more selcas to some fans who just recently arrived, while on the other hand, those fans gave the pizza to Davey as they kept their promise to bring them one. As Austin came out of the hotel entrance and went ahead to the van, the engine started to turn as they were leaving the hotel. After that moment, we also left the hotel, and while some of my stalking buddies were going to Glorietta to claim their stubs, I went ahead to UST to submit some requirements and continue doing my thesis. Whew, what a morning, indeed, but it was all worth it. ❤

Day 3 – March 31, 2017 [D-DAY]:
This was the day! D-DAY! Like what I said before, it was my second time seeing them performing live after #3LOGYINMANILA, but I never thought that I got to see them personally for three consecutive days, and my feels were still intact.
I arrived in the entrance of Glorietta 2 in 8am, and to my surprise, there were few people in the queue, so I started to chat with them about the boys while waiting for my friend-slash-daughter 😂. Few minutes after, she arrived, and introduced her to those fans in the queue. 10am came, and the doors were finally opened. Of course, the guards let the employers go in first before us. As we got inside, there was a bit confusion regarding the location of the EP selling cos we thought that it was in the Palm Drive side, but later informed that it was in the other side of activity center (the main one); the one behind the Palm Drive Activity Center.
The queue started to reorganise and moved to the exact place of the EP selling. I was actually supposed not to buy an EP cos I dont have money on my wallet, even on my prepaid card, but she decided earlier before we arrived that she’d treat me one, and I was whooaaaaa!!! (I wouldn’t even be there in the CD Signing if it wasn’t for her, so I’m really thankful to her ❤) After we’re done buying the EP, we ate our unch together with our newly-met friends who were way younger than me like they’re 14, 15 and 16 (even my friend’s 14), and I was like ‘am I really that old? 😱😭😂’ Afterwards, we were waiting on the activity center for 2.30pm aka the call time for MnG+CD Signing since it was 11.30am during that time. Few hours past, and my laptop battery’s already low, so I decided to go to YouTube Creators’ place (the red one) to charge my laptop, leaving my friends for a while.
That time, while I was charging my laptop, as well as my two phones, I met two Tiders who got their MnG wristbands (I was confused on the basing of the color of the wristbands on the stubs, but I didn’t mind), and started spazzing about our faves. We’re in the middle of spazzing when she suddenly texted me that she saw Nate on the stage, and I was literally freaking out, then told those two that my friend saw him. I literally ran over from where I was to the Palm Drive. As I got there, I even saw Davey fixing stuffs on stage (that means the boys were already there).
Let’s fast forward to the time the boys appeared on stage for the soundcheck. They performed three songs during that time including their cover of their senior band The Vamps’ song All Night, and their original songs Holding On To You and The One You Want (both were included in Click My Fingers EP).
After the soundcheck, the boys went to the backstage, and on the other hand, we started to run to the MnG queue, but the chaos was started when a staff from their PH record label informed us that our red wristband with ‘VIP+Meet and Greet+CD Signing’ written on it was actually meant for CD SIGNING, which made some fans, including us, really furious. A post from Glorietta’s FB page, which was being updated the day before the show, even stated that there would be a MnG AND CD Signing, and we even ask this matter to some staffs from Glorietta and Astrovision, but the record label claimed that it was a miscommunication between the three of them. Well, what could we do? We had literally no choice, but to go with the flow (
We fell into their trap once again 😐 😠)
It was already 2.30pm, and the Meet and Greet session came first before the CD Signing. (Those who were wearing the pink wristband belonged to the MnG session), and it was lasted for not more than 15 minutes, I guess (not sure how long tho), and it was now the turn for #TeamCDSigning. I was even more nervous cos I was literally the first in line. The staffs were guiding us to the backstage, where the CD Signing was held. As I took a glimpse on the backstage, I was a bit panicked cos there was a possibility that I would be so lost in words when I’d be in front of them (once again). Few moments after, and the CD Signing session has started. The arrangement was like this: Drew – Austin – Nate – Levi; meaning, Drew would be the first one to sign the CD, followed by the other boys. I was even surprised that I even had a lil chat + interactioms with my sons, and there were no bouncers behind us, which was a good thing.
My convo with the boys during the signing was so short cos #nervousaf, just like this:
Me: hai droo~ nice to see you again!
D: nice to see you too! /then i handed the cd to him for signing, then handed to Austin/
Me: hai austin~ nice to see you again! can we shake hands?
A: /while signing the cd/ sure~ /then he agreed with the handshake/
Me: hai nate~ nice to see you again!
N: hai~ /then smiles and signed the cd/
(I was so speechless af during his turn, and I’m so sorry )): )
Me: hai levi~ do you still remember the finger heart?
L: /smiled/ oh yeah~ i remember that we did it /he did the pose once again/
Me: thank you so much gaise and i love you~
L: /smiled once again/
After my turn, I felt so overwhelmed cos I got to see them and have a lil convo with them once again + the fact that my main child aka Levi remembered me and the fnger heart pose that we did last 03.29 + the wrecker son aka Austin agreed to shake hands with me, and lastly, I was really so happy for my friend that she got a hug from her bias (Levi) during the signing >< H E O L ;A; ULTIMATE FANSERVICE AT ITS BEST!! ㅠㅠㅠㅠ
(also from one of their latest Manila vlogs; 4:48-4:50 – I was wearing a jumper with a blue shirt inside; video credits: The Tide’s Official Youtube Channel)
Since we’re already done with the signing, we’re being headed to the General Admissions section (cos our wristbands and stubs were green. well, that was how it went tho). Later on some GA tix holders were entering the Guest section (the one near the stage), so we had to try to get there, and luckily, we made it like HEOL I’ve finally had a chance to see them performing live for the second time, but this time, it was an upclose one.
We’ve been waiting for an hour til the boys appeared once again on stage, but this time, it was a legit performance time with What You Give as a kick-off song from the setlist, then followed by one of the unreleased songs Rest Of Us, and the inspirational Click My Fingers. The rest are followed in the setlist (three of them were unreleased songs; while the other ones were from Click My Fingers EP) with the newly-released Put The Cuffs On Me as an ending, and the fun and youthful jam Young Love as an encore song.

Even up to this time, I was still in awe with them because they honestly sounded so great live, especially with Austin and Levi’s vocals, as well as Drew and Nate’s cheerful and energetic vibes when playing their instruments, and the four of them rocked the stage with their banging energy while performing. This was honestly one of the best events I ever attended. It might be started in a bad light, but the end’s still the most spectacular. Couldn’t even wait to see them again soon (still hoping that they would be in The Vamps’ concert in Asia either on September or October) ❤
Here’s my fancam for Rest Of Us: ❤
(ps: my main phone got drained, so I used this phone. sorry for a bit LQ ;A;)
