It’s been four months since this unforgettable and magical concert happened, but it’s still surreal to me because I’ve finally had a chance to see my favorite bands together live like it was such a very rare opportunity to get the three bands into one concert event, especially my two favourite bands are there!!
Although it’s too late, I’ll be telling you guys what happened on that whole day.
I was travelling alone to Mall Of Asia Arena from UST cos I have Mandarin class in the morning when I saw two girls on the jeep to the said venue chitchatting about Before You Exit and The Vamps (yes, you heard it right. both of them are my bias bands and also they’re two of the three main bands on the event), so I assumed that they’re Exiters and Vampettes. As I got down the jeepney, I hurriedly approached them if they’re going to the concert, and they nodded, I went with those two little girls and spazzed with them. Finally I had concert buddies~~
Before the concert, there was an album signing for The Vamps, but the line queue was so disorganised to the fact that we didn’t know what line should take for us to get in to the signing proper. Good thing I had enough money on my prepaid card to purchase Wake Up album, but unfortunately, we didn’t have a chance cos of the cut-off. The album signing lasted for like 30 minutes, I guess (the band’s bassist Connor Ball wasn’t on the signing cos he was in the hospital for his knee injury operation. Poor Condora )): ).
Few hours past, the line for the GA/UB ticket holders on the Pacific Drive was started to become longer (I was holding an Upper Box ticket), so we went to the queue, and we finally went inside the arena after like 30-45 minutes. As we went inside, I literally shouted “long time no see, MOA Arena!” Well, it’s been almost three years since I’ve been there. (This concert was my second time in MOA Arena cos Super Junior’s Super Show 5 Manila concert was my first one on the said venue way back 2013). There were merch stalls on the middle, then Spinnr, Snack Time, and other fan-related stalls from the ground to the fourth one, but we’re assigned on the third floor since Upper Box was on that place, but we parted ways because we’re in our different sections.
About the concert proper, it was started with two opening acts, Jayda Avanzado and William Singe. My Exiter buddy-seatmate wasn’t there when Jayda performed, but later arrived when it was William’s turn. To my observation, I honestly love Jayda’s voice and how she projected that Ariana Grande-like aura on her (she was singing all Ariana’s hit songs like One Last Time, Problem, Love Me Harder, and others), and she really nailed it. I could say that she’s really a very good performer (no wonder cos she was the daughter of two prominent Filipino singers). About William, I honestly couldn’t appreciate RnB enough (I’m more into pop, pop-rock, ballad and rock type of genre tho XD), but I could say that he really has a nice voice, and I really appreciate his performances there.
The opening acts were already finished, and that means this was the start of the main event! Whew! The first act to be performed was BEFORE YOU EXIT!!!! HEOL!! It’s my first time hearing their live performances (I got a chance to see the three brothers on the CD Signing the day before the concert, and they’re really HANDSOME!!). They started their show with Dangerous, the song that got me into the Exiter fandom although I already knew them since I Like That era way back 2013. We’re literally screaming and singing along with them on that song, followed by Three Perfect Days, Settle For Less, which were my favorite tracks of I Like That EP like I was really hyperventilating when they chose those two to perform. Next was their cover of Love Yourself, which made the whole arena literally sing along so loud. Before their show concludes, they performed I Like That, but with Riley on his black sando like WHAT THE ACTUAL.HECK YOU DONT DO THIS IN FRONT OF ME HEOL >< Y.Y (He's my bias btw, while Connor the older McDonough's my bias wrecker Y.Y). And to close the show, Model was their last song. I was like AWWWWW IT'S SO SHORT T.T WE WANT MORE Y.Y Too hard to say goodbye to them though as the next performer's on the waiting list, but here's my Model fancam. ^^
Up next was The Tide. To be honest, I wasn’t familiar to them at first, but later found out that they’re supporting The Vamps (they’re the first signed band on The Vamps’ label in c/o with Virgin EMI). Hence, this concert was technically part of The Vamps’ Wake Up World Tour but it’s just that the concert promoter added Before You Exit on the main acts (as the three were touring together during The Vamps’ US Tour last year) to make it more special. Back to The Tide’s performance, since I wasn’t really familiar to them, I silently listened to their live covers like Shut Up And Dance until their original songs were added like Falling In Love Tonight, Young Love, and What You Give (I know that was their last song on their performance). I admitted I was so amazed with their live performances, especially the main singer (Austin)’s vocals. While sitting, I was silently dancing out during their time, and still in awe of them.
(I didnt upload their SUAD live perf though, so sorry Y.Y)
The last act of this show was none other than the main act, The Vamps (of course this was part of their world tour) with Rest Your Love as their opening number, and to our own surprise, Connor was there on the stage like YAASSS, but he was sitting on the right side while playing bass, and I also saw him walking with ‘saklay’. This was so heartbreaking for me since he was my wrecker. Nonetheless, the show went on. I was literally screaming my heart out as we’re literally sing along every single word, line as well as the chorus like there’s no tomorrow. Followed by Cheater, Somebody To You, Last Night, Volcano, and others (just refer to their Asian setlist in case I missed out).😂😂😂😂
Here’s Million Words fancam (Brad’s solo). This was my favorite part of their show as Brad’s showcasing his vocals.
But the special part for us Vampettes were the time that before performing their special song to us Filo Vampettes, which was Risk It All, Brad said something about 25k pizzas, coke, and so on (I didnt know what were the exact words tho), but in the end, he said that they like to live here if that’s okay with us, and we absolutely nodded, and shouted yes. Of course, they’re also one of my sunshines Y.Y
During their Wild Heart performance, the Before You Exit boys suddenly alpeared on stage, and I honestly couldnt take this feels anymore as my two bias bands were on stage. live. in. front. of. my. own. eyes. like. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOLLLLLL #hyperventilatedatitsfinest ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

They concluded their show with their banging household hit Oh Cecilia (Breaking My Heart), and lead single of their sophomore album, Wake Up. Before Oh Cecilia, Brad was dancing like an alien like WHAT THE HELL XDDD.
Anyways, what the hell really happened on that night? (no pun intended tho 😂) Oh well, PCD really hit me even up to this time to the point that everytime their songs (BYE, The Tide & The Vamps) were playing on their radio, the feels rose again like YOU DONT DO THIS TO ME Y.Y HEOL Y.Y But generally, it was one hella great night to remember, and I was really in awe of the three. If they’re coming back, I would do this again if I have a chance. /coughs cos BYE & The Vamps were giving hints about this 😂/
